LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15, 2021 /PRCheshwire/ - After another long week of writing cover letters, getting rejected from places he sent cover letters to, and polishing his TV Pilot, while ignoring his feature “Undicked”, Tyler Cheshire proclaimed he would be watching an, “Ass Load” of movies this weekend.
“Like Loverboy so poetically said in their 1981 classic, Working for The Weekend, ‘Everybody’s working for the weekend.’ I’ve always taken that lyric to heart,” Tyler explained.
A man walking to the theater about to see Titane
He plans to start with a screening of Titane at the Los Feliz 3 in the early evening. A perfect time for a nice stroll from his apartment to the conveniently located theater nearby. After the show he will take a break and watch the Anaheim Ducks most likely lose their hockey game.
Saturday will be a “big” day for him. He has plans to abuse his Shudder subscription by mainlining V/H/S/94, Seance and The Medium.
“Raw is one of my favorite horror films of the last few years so I couldn’t be more excited for Titane. I’ve managed to avoid all trailers for it, and I’m excited to go in with a clean slate.”
He wasn’t finished. “V/H/S/94 is a must see with Simon Barrett and Timo Tjahjanto involved, even if I typically avoid anthology films. It’s only natural to follow it up with Barrett’s feature directorial debut, Seance. He’ll wrap the day off with The Medium, a film he had the opportunity to see last week at BeyondFest before he accidentally took a four hour nap.
Sunday’s plans are still in their beta phase. He might watch a zombie flick like The Many Saints of Newark, a film about a famous creator reanimating the corpse of a long dead property. He might bust out his Criterion blu-ray of The Innocents.
“I watched it in undergrad for a film history class, but don’t remember much about it,” Tyler said.
He has no plans to watch Halloween Kills as he wasn’t a fan of the first one, but could be swayed if his sister-in-law purchases a Peacock trial and gives him the login credentials.
After hearing of his plans, friends and family are all, “unimpressed” and “What do you mean you need a quote from me?” He appreciates their undying support.
He’s uncertain how he will feed himself throughout the weekend.
